Often, when I say that MeriBoo clothes are made of merino wool, the first reaction is: "But won't it sting?" or "Isn't this too warm for a baby?" 🤔 . I admit – years ago I had the same associations, because I associated wool with thick sweaters from the past. But the truth is, merino is completely different.
❌ Myth 1: “Merino stings and irritates the skin”
✅ Truth: Merino is so fine and soft that it feels like a second skin. Its fibers are much thinner than those of regular wool, so they don't sting, but caress. I personally saw how gentle it is when I started dressing my baby Chrissy 👶 in it – he never had any irritations or red spots.
❌ Myth 2: “Merino is only for winter”
✅ Truth: Merino is unique because it regulates temperature 🌡️ - warms when it's cold, cools when it's hot. It "breathes" 💨 and wicks moisture away, so skin stays dry and comfortable in every season - even in summer ☀️.
❌ Myth 3: “Not suitable for babies”
✅ Truth: quite the opposite 👶. Merino is one of the most suitable fabrics for babies and people with sensitive skin 🌿. It is hypoallergenic, antibacterial and naturally soft. It does not need additional chemicals or treatments to be gentle - nature has already taken care of that 🍃.
✨ Today I can safely say that merino is one of the most special fabrics that exist. And if before it sounded like an "exotic wool for abroad", now for me it is a symbol of comfort and care 💛.
That's why we created MeriBoo - so that every baby can have clothes that are beautiful, comfortable and most importantly - good for their skin.
With love,
Alex – MeriBoo 🐑
